Highlights

High wearing comfort and safety

The self-hardening adhesive makes this mouthguard particularly easy to fit. It sits extremely firmly and securely in the mouth. No slipping or wobbling, which significantly increases wearing comfort. So you can concentrate fully on your sport.

Food-safe and free of harmful substances

The «PRO» mouthguard from Paffen Sport is food-safe and free from harmful substances. It is tasteless and free from harmful additives and plasticisers. The adhesive and splint are tasteless.

Simple adjustment

Pour the liquid into the powder and mix thoroughly with the enclosed wooden spatula. Then spread the mixture into the mouthguard mould and leave to set for approx. two minutes. Then place everything in the mouth, press the tongue against the palate and close the jaw with moderate pressure for approx. 2 to 3 minutes, but do not bite down hard. Biting down hard can make the mouthguard too thin and reduce the protective effect. Then rinse and carefully cut away any protruding parts.

Versatile in use

Can be used in all full contact and contact sports such as boxing, kickboxing, karate, judo, wrestling, wrestling as well as handball, hockey, basketball, rugby and other sports with similar risks of hard jaw impact such as mountain biking, skateboarding and similar.

«PRO» American-style Mouthguard with adhesive material

American-style mouthguard. Mouthguard with self-hardening adhesive, for all full-contact martial arts and many contact sports.
This professional mouthguard is suitable for all contact and full-contact sports. It consists of two components that are prepared and customised by mixing. For customisation, the liquid is thoroughly mixed into the powder with the enclosed wooden spatula. Then spread the mixture into the mouthguard mould and allow to set briefly (approx. two minutes). Then place everything in the mouth, press the tongue against the palate and close the jaw with moderate pressure for approx. 2 to 3 minutes, but do not bite down hard. Biting down hard can make the mouthguard too thin and reduce the protective effect. Then rinse off and carefully cut away any unwanted and protruding parts (be sure to follow the enclosed instructions).
This is why you should wear a mouthguard for every competition or training session.
Every athlete who plays a contact sport should wear a mouthguard. It is therefore mandatory in many sports. In most martial arts, it is just as much a natural piece of equipment as boxing gloves, bandages, headgear and other protective equipment. It is also a natural accessory in many contact sports. Contrary to popular belief, mouthguards are not only used to protect the jaw, teeth, lips and gums from sometimes serious injuries. The risk of concussions can also be reduced by using a mouthguard in many sports where the upper and lower jaws can hit hard.
Full contact sports in which a mouthguard should be used or is mandatory:
  • Boxing, kickboxing, Muay Thai, K1, MMA
  • Karate, judo
  • Wrestling, wrestling
  • All related martial arts
Contact sports in which a mouthguard should be used or is mandatory:
  • Rubby, American football
  • Ice hockey
  • Handball, basketball
  • Hockey
  • Football
  • Lacrosse
  • Comparable sports
Other sports with comparable risks:
  • Inline skating, skateboarding
  • Mountain biking
  • Comparable sports
This is what you should bear in mind when caring for your shoes.
After sport, it is best to rinse the mouthguard thoroughly under lukewarm water and allow it to air dry. Never leave the moist mouthguard in the closed storage box for long periods of time. This can lead to mould growth. Always store in the open storage box and ensure good ventilation all round. Occasionally, the mouthguard should be cleaned more thoroughly with a toothbrush under running water. Do not use cleaning agents, denture cleaners or toothpaste for cleaning. Replace the mouthguard with a new one after one year at the latest.
If you have braces or dentures, you should consult your orthodontist/dentist before use.
