‘Iglesias is truly world class. He is the number 1 super middleweight in the world.’ Big words in boxing, which is not short of big words. But when they come from someone like legendary trainer Uli Wegner, they carry weight. The occasion was another convincing title defence by Osleys Iglesias (his full name is Osleys Iglesias Estrada) against Artur Reis, who he sent to the floor after less than half of the fourth round. 

Osleys Iglesias is the high-flyer in the super-middleweight division. The southpaw is 1.89 metres tall, has excellent technique and enormous punching power. The unbeaten boxer has a KO rate of more than 90 per cent. He won the IBO world super-middleweight title in his 8th fight as a professional.

 Osleys Iglesias was already a world-class athlete as an amateur in Cuba and successfully contested 200 amateur fights. In January 2024, the tornado boxer switched to the Canadian promoter ‘Eye of the Tiger’. In his first fights in Montreal, he thrilled the fans with spectacular knockouts. 

Osleys Iglesias has just one goal: to win all the world championship belts and become undisputed super middleweight champion. 

Osleys is a southpaw, 189 cm tall and has a similar reach. He was born on 12 December 1997 in Havana, Cuba, and has a child with his partner Lucy. He is trained by Georg Bramowski and coached by Markus Rese.
