Multi-award winning amateur star John Hedges has everything it takes to become a real super-middleweight nightmare for his opponents. The proud 6'4" southpaw won four national and seven international titles during his time as an amateur, with a hugely impressive record of 40 wins in 44 national and international fights.
"Gentleman John", as he is known, trains at the Hoddesdon Boxing Academy and is signed to Matchroom along with undefeated super-middleweight world champions Callum Smith and Billy Joe Saunders.
John has made London his fighting home. Five consecutive wins in the capital recently earned him a dream spot on the undercard of Anthony Joshua in April 2023.
John is right-handed, 190cm tall and has an almost identical reach. He was born on 11 April 2002 in Takeley, Essex and still lives there. He is trained by Mark Tibbs and managed by Matchroom Sports.
