Bag gloves - why are they useful?
In this article we explain why bag gloves should be used instead of boxing gloves on the punching bag and equipment
Why do you need bag gloves at all?
If you are training with good boxing gloves, you should be aware that the usually softer padding compresses and becomes hard or, in the worst case, dissolves completely. In addition, the surface suffers, there are scuffs and scratches.
Training or combat gloves are, as the name suggests, for training and competition. And for good reason. After all, they have to be able to withstand long and tough fights in sparring or competition. This is why the construction of such boxing gloves is far more complicated, more varied and therefore more sensitive to blunt, rather static targets.
The consequence: For sparring or even in competition, boxing gloves that have not been used as intended can and should no longer be worn at some point. The damaged surface can lead to lacerations and cuts. The hard padding no longer protects the joints properly and also creates an inadmissible punching advantage - which in turn can lead to serious injuries. In addition, the gloves no longer offer sufficient protection during equipment training.
Large selection of different bag gloves
According to your preferences and personal constitution, you naturally also have a wide range of bag gloves to choose from: from the "FIT" bag gloves for beginners to the "PRO" professional bag gloves with special padding for the highest demands.
That's why it's better to use punching bag gloves directly. Their upper material is adapted to the special requirements of equipment training and wear and tear does not lead to impairment.
Their structure is deliberately kept less complex, but perfectly matched to the intended use. In particular, the special foam padding does not compress or begin to disintegrate with constant use. As they are in some cases significantly cheaper than boxing gloves, they are also easy on your wallet in the long term, because equipment used as intended simply lasts longer.
